Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and our affiliated 501(c)3 non-profit entities collaborate to produce the annual CAL POLY POMONA “STEM Day and Career Pathways Conference”. This experience exposes nearly 300 Young Scholars, ages 14 to 18 to STEM-based majors and careers. Students engage in hands-on workshops and seminars related to computer programming, cyber defense, aerospace science, and engineering. Students receive information and advice on the college admissions process, financial aid, and the process of selecting classes, majors, and course curriculum. Guest speakers fill the day which includes a panel discussion with current college members of Alpha Phi Alpha, who also sat with student participants during lunch sharing the testimony of their experiences.
